Don’t worry, be happy!
Sometimes this is so much easier to say than to do, don’t you think? Being happy is a choice. Life can throw lots of curve balls at you but it’s how you react to them that makes the difference.

We often think that if we have more then we will be happy but that’s not always the case. The material things in life, such as the big cars, houses etc, don’t necessarily make you happier. You might achieve them and then still want to move on to the next thing and the next thing.
It can be the little things that make us happy. Here are some examples;
- Watching favourite movie
- A nice cold ice-cream in the blazing heat
- The feel of a fresh breeze on your face
- Listening to a good song on the radio
- Dancing along to that song (when nobody is looking!)
- A compliment that someone pays you
- Time to do something for yourself
- Your dog wagging its tail with excitement to see you as you walk through the front door
- An unexpected letter from a friend
- Writing your thoughts down in a lovely journal
- Creating artwork
- Spending time by the beach, in nature, seeing the beauty around you
The list is endless.
When you have some time write a list of all of the things that make you happy – a Happy List. If you’re having a day that makes you feel worrisome dig out that list and remind yourself that worry won’t help. I have a lovely friend that has Cancer and is undergoing treatment after treatment, yet she is the most positive person I know despite her circumstances.

Make the decision today to choose to be happy, no matter your circumstances.
